Every moment of every day each of us is attracting “something” into our life, but all too often it’s not something we want. We all desire to experience a life of joy and fulfillment, to live our days without monetary compromise, to share a life of love, to experience inner peace. There is a secret to using the Law of Attraction to draw positive, life-enriching experiences into our life.

The Law of Attraction is stimulated by and acts upon our inner “resonances” and “mental equivalents.” When we relate to something it’s because there’s an awareness of it already existing within us. It “strikes a familiar chord,” a resonating response of recognition.  It is already awake in us as a possibility.  We can easily imagine or picture it.

The choices we make in life are based on a familiar, but sometimes subtle, inner resonance. Our likes and dislikes in food, clothing, people, and every other area of our life have to do with an inner vibratory sense we have of ourselves–what feels like “us” and what doesn’t. But, there’s an important distinction between what might feel “right” to us and what’s “good” for us because those things to which we resonate in the outer world symbolize and reflect both the positive and negative ideas we have about ourselves. In this way we often resonate to those things that seem to bring about dissatisfaction and unhappiness while actually repelling the things we desire.

If we want to attract positive, life-enriching good into our “outer” world of experience, we need to first internalize it, give it a “mental body,” so to speak, within ourselves.  We not only need to visualize an equal or correspondent of what we desire, but we need to see and feel that mental image as belonging to us. In other words, it’s got to “feel like us.”

We can learn to heal negative and limiting ideas we have of ourselves that block, and even repel, the good that we desire to experience along our life path. Marcel Proust wrote: “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.” Inner healing takes place as we see ourselves and life with new eyes–through our spiritual awareness and acceptance of ourselves as originating in a Sacred Space of Abundant Good and dwelling in the Atmosphere of Unlimited Possibility.  Looking within ourselves with new eyes gives us Unlimited Visibility through which to search the depths of our spiritual nature and magnify and increase our mental equivalents for a life of happiness, love, peace and prosperity.
